This is really the best damn #follow friday video! I really appreciate this information and all of this gets more peeps engaged and into the fun that makes twitter a unique experience.

Now, I would suggest that you tell people really briefly what a hash tag is and what a retweet is and how to do it because some people really don’t know but that may be nit picky. Bottom line is the video was valuable to me. Thank you James!

Ron that is an excellent ideal. We have already discussed moving this over to YouTube after seeing we had over 2500 views within first hour of posting it. I will keep you posted.

To answer your first question Phil I believe the first person to start #followfriday was @micah This started early part of 2009 and has been quite successful ever since.

Secondly, I believe we will move this video over to YouTube and then we can have the video moved over to http://TwitterTuesday.com.

Excellent video, James. I’ve found followfriday to be an extraordinary way to build individual relationships, get to know my followers better, and expand my network. I’ve been using a variety of approaches for the tweets. I now usually start Saturday morning to get organized for the next followfriday!

These two tools I show you in the video can be used anytime for number of advanced techniques. Lets say you wanted to find targeted followers you would just type in the keyword(s) you are targeting and start following the people actively conversing about your chosen keywords.

I noticed there was quite a bit of interest in other uses of the hash tags. Do you plan on doing a hash tag video? If so, will that only be in the Twitter Power System or will you add it to the blog? I just discovered another great #followfriday tool The Twitter Tag Project Follow Friday. This tool saves you time from manually typing in your #followfriday recommendations. If you don’t like the lineup of people provided in the sample you can copy and paste various names from the screen to generate your own recommendations.

Please share your thoughts on this other tool and what you think of it. We seemed to get many retweets about it early this morning already.

That was very helpful, succinct, and easy to #follow (LOL). You do seem to have some other techniques that I couldn’t figure out - ie. how co you copy/paste and retweet an earlier followfriday - every time I do, by highlighting/right clicking the selected text, the prompt is only to copy the link and not the body of the text, so I end up with a url link and not the text. I have to write everything out instead which is rather laborious. I will definitely follow you and recommend this site.
